Blindfold

Propaganda took hold,

People bought the lies they were sold.

They had eyes, but could not see.

They had ears, but could not hear.

Their hearts hardened,

Pride clouded their minds, & so did their fear.

Their ego’s smothered the truth,

For what mattered not, was the proof.

The facts didn’t tell,

What the stubborn nose refused to smell.

It had spiritual roots,

Reason was abandoned,

A virus of the heart & mind, was implanted.

It wasn’t political,

Nor logical,

Which blinded their understanding.

By a great force,

Their discernment was twisted,

On truth, they had no standing.

They thought it was them, the others,

The enemy, that party, who wore the blindfold,

But alas! It was all,

Both parties who were covered in mold.

It was bipartisan,

It was undercover,

It was 1984,

An always watching, big brother.

It was an angel of light,

It was a serpent, who slithered by night.

It was sneaky & slick-

The deceptions & tricks.

The ones they had praised,

Turned out to be, nothing more than a tick,

Sucking & leaching, on the blind & the sick.

It was the elites,

& their chess pawns,

Who’d send others to die,

For their warmongering minds,

While they’d hide behind,

Their cowardice seats.

They were snakes, who’d prey on the weak.

They’d lie through their teeth,

Dangle money & treats,

Only just out of reach.

It was them-

They who’d steal & cheat.

They who’d harvest & eat.

They who’d kill, rape, & beat.

Those who opposed, were sent to jail.

Or their hands were tied, strung with blackmail.

& those who’d fold, accepted bribes, often of females.

What then, is the way out?

There’s only One.

To reject lies, break the ties, & come clean.

To accept Christ, repent for what we have done.

To say, “Father, I’m a sinner, lost, & undone.

Show me the way, I will obey.

To You & Your Son,

I will run.”

What then, for justice?

On this earth, under this domain,

We, the people, are responsible, those who remain.

We, the people, must submit to truth, under God, as one.

And say, “No more,

Your time is here, and your end has come.”
